Linux San Antonio

Three hours on the community floor for the people who actually run Linux — the environment, the tooling, the config you keep tuning. Part of the week, and free with it.

The afternoon
Linux, on purpose.
If you run Linux you already know why. The distro you settled on, the window manager you rebuilt twice, the dotfiles you will not stop tuning — this is three hours for the part of your setup nobody at work wants to hear about.
Programming, mostly: the environment, the tooling, and the defaults you spend the day inside. Speakers are being announced. No booth, no vendor deck, and nobody refereeing a distro argument.
Free with Startup + Tech Week registration. Discount codes for November’s Texas Linux Fest are being handed out in the room.
Every other room this week is about something being built — a company, a pitch, a product. This one is about the thing underneath it, which is the least glamorous and most load-bearing subject on the schedule. It runs because the people behind it already do this work here, and would rather spend a Thursday on it than a slide.
Bring the laptop you actually use. Opinions come standard.
