Carlos Guevara

Carlos Guevara is an entrepreneur, business advisor, and Certified Business Intermediary who has spent more than 25 years building, operating, and advising privately held businesses. His entrepreneurial career began shortly after graduating from ITESM (Tecnológico de Monterrey) with a degree in Industrial Engineering, when he founded and operated a plastics recycling and manufacturing company that grew to 30 employees and operated around the clock. He later built and managed businesses and sales organizations in several industries, giving him firsthand experience with the opportunities and challenges that come with business ownership. Since 2009, Carlos has focused on helping business owners understand the value, transferability, and options surrounding their companies. His work includes business sales, acquisitions, valuations, exit readiness, succession, and ownership transitions, particularly in the lower-middle market. He has been recognized as a Top 10 producer within the VR Business Brokers network and is both a Certified Business Intermediary and Certified Value Builder Advisor. Carlos brings an operator’s perspective to entrepreneurship through acquisition. He understands that buying a business is not simply about finding a deal or obtaining financing it is about understanding the company being acquired, the owner behind it, the risks being assumed, and what it will take to successfully operate and grow the business after closing. Carlos has served on numerous boards and committees in both Mexico and San Antonio, reflecting his long-standing involvement in the business and nonprofit communities.
