Charles Woodin

Charles Woodin is the CEO of Geekdom, a San Antonio organization with one mission: build San Antonio one startup at a time. He believes San Antonio can be a city where big ideas get built, funded, and scaled, and since becoming CEO in 2019 he has put every part of Geekdom behind that belief. That work shows up across the city. Geekdom created the Accelerate South Texas Fund at the San Antonio Area Foundation to strengthen the organizations that support entrepreneurs, and it partners with the City of San Antonio to run Launch SA at the Central Library, where many local businesses take their first steps. Day to day, Charles focuses on knowing every startup in San Antonio and clearing whatever stands between its founders and their next stage of growth. Before Geekdom, Charles served eight years in the U.S. Air Force as an Airborne Cryptologic Language Analyst. Originally from Michigan, he now calls San Antonio home and spends his free time exploring national parks with his daughters.
