Matthew Bell

Matthew Bell is a Creative Technologist and Senior VFX Artist with 28 years of experience across feature film, episodic television, commercials, and real-time production. A specialist in lighting and look development, he served as lead on three Oscar-nominated productions (Iron Man 3, Real Steel, and Star Trek) and on Spielberg’s Ready Player One, with credits spanning Digital Domain, MPC, The Mill, Method Studios, and Zoic Studios. He was a senior artist on Walmart’s Famous Visitors, winner of the 2021 VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Commercial. Matthew now builds agent-driven production pipelines, developing an MCP connector that lets AI agents operate Houdini, Maya, Blender, Unreal, and Nuke directly. His work centers on ComfyUI as an orchestration layer, spanning current open-weight image and video models, custom LoRA training for style and character consistency, and generative 3D for concept-to-asset workflows. He is based in San Antonio, Texas.
