Matthew Reedy
Entrepreneur in Residence · Trinity University
Matt Reedy is a San Antonio-based senior business and technology executive with more than four decades of experience spanning startups, public offerings, and corporate innovation. A serial entrepreneur and named inventor on eight U.S. patents, he has built a career bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution. Matt spent over a decade (2010–2021) at USAA, where he directed USAA Labs, leading IT innovation and R&D efforts, mentoring machine learning teams, and later guiding a data analytics organization toward next-generation reporting capabilities. Since 2021, Matt has served as Chief Technology Officer of Addiction Resource Systems, Inc., overseeing development of WingMan, a conversational AI platform supporting long-term sobriety for recovering addicts. In 2025, he joined Trinity University as Entrepreneur in Residence, mentoring student entrepreneurs and co-teaching the Trinity Incubator program. Matt holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Trinity University and an M.B.A. from St. Mary's University. He is deeply engaged in San Antonio's civic and nonprofit community, serving on numerous boards including the San Antonio Area Foundation, Tech Bloc, and SA Youth. He is also a commercial pilot with over 1,600 flight hours and an FAA-certified aircraft mechanic.
